Mariette Duvenage received her Bachelor of Arts  from the University of Pretoria  (1985) in South Africa and completed Residential Interiors (with distinction) at the University of Alberta (2007).  Mariette immigrated to Canada in 1998 with her husband Charl and three children Jessica, Marcha and Charl.

 

Her business is centered in Vermilion and serves Vermilion, Lloydminster and surrounding areas.  Mariette is also associated with a prestigious and established interior design company  (Klar Interior Design) in Edmonton, Alberta  where she works two days a week.  This allows her to keep up with the newest and most current trends in interiors and to find the best product and options for her clients. This enables Mariette to bring a brand new and fresh look to the prairies of East Central Alberta.

 

Mariette enjoys residential interior decorating of new homes and the redesign of older homes.  The budget is determined by the client, from tight budgets to high end homes.  She is also involved with the exterior finishes of projects and branching out to commercial projects.

 

Mariette believes that the space should be a reflection of the clients personality.  "After we are done with a space - and the client feels it really says who they are - only then can the project be called successful."

Being raised in South Africa, Mariette brings a different perspective to design and decorating.  Her love and exceptional talent toward color and letting spaces flow is showcased in her design and because of that her concept of color and application is to the benefit of  those clients that do not want to settle for the norm!
